SMART Board Software is compatible with Windows-based systems. Notes created through Notebook can be inserted in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Clicking on the icon will launch the software’s Start Center where the applications and tools can be accessed. A System tray icon will be installed when the SMART Board software is installed. The interactive whiteboard supports finger and pen touch. The SMART Board Software is comprised of several components: SMART Start Center for accessing applications and files, Notebook for the creation of presentations, Gallery Collections which contains images and templates Recorder, for recording the user’s actions on the screen Video Player, on-screen keyboard Floating Tools for writing notes and drawing shapes Control Panel Bulb Saver, which conserves power of the projector or interactive display screen support for mobile and wireless devices and Board Diagnostics, which is the Help tool of the software.

With either SMART Board you will have plenty of touch points if you decide to have multiple students working together at the display. SMART Board 7000R SMART Board 7000 series is 25 years in the making, and all new. By simply plugging in the USB cable into your Chromebook, you will have enabled the touch interaction for the SMART Board.Ī 6000 Series SMART IFP supports up to 4 simultaneous touch points and a 4000 Series SMART IFP supports up to 10 simultaneous touch points when run by the Chrome OS. These enable touch interaction with a variety of interactive products, including the complete line of SMART Board Interactive Flat Panels. However, the Chrome OS has its own built in touch drivers.
